With Gentoo, it uses PowerNow and not ACPI tables, so I was unable to check if ACPI was the problem, or FreeBSD. Probably ACPI. AMD's tend to be real funny sometimes in that they like a specific configuration, or they won't be happy. I'll try out the Vista Beta, and see what happens on the 64 bit notebook (AMD64).
